it truly feels like winter - i cannot tell you how good it feels!
there are pumpkins everywhere, christmas decorations in the garden centre, christmas songs on some tv adverts (already!?), catalogues, earlier nights, a drop in temperature and of course...i am making soup!
it's winter alright.

i love sunday's too...especially in winter.
sunday times and all the magazines, walks along the canal with the camera, some nice scented oil burning, lots of tea (and soup (:), ray lamontagne...etc you know where it's at ;)

it is 10.45 and i have just woken up....10 45.....ten forty-five, THIS IS ODD!

i'm always up about 8, it feels weird to have slept in.

funnily enough i feel more tired than usual.
my uncle from barbados is back in england at the moment so we are all going round to see him at my nana's tonight.

i intend to take lots and lots of photo's.
last night was nice and relaxed i hadn't planned to go out and was having a nice night in our WARM house (we had our heating and hot water fixed yesterday - hurrah!) but then i poodled along to sophie's for a few hours,

listened to the spice girls; drank squash; lurked people on myspace...because we are cool like that.
waitrose braeburn's taste like shit at the moment.

just thought i'd let you know..

today i went to london with the two lovely ladies: vicky and pippa.

v&a, british museum, national portrait galler, photographer's gallery, trafalgar square, leicester square, kensington.

people

people who i can feel comfortable around, beautiful people, flawed people, strangers, chatty old pensioners at the bus stop, candid people, people eager to learn, people eager to teach, working class people, portraits, smokers, people watching, watching people, shy people, modest people, experienced people, inspiring people, well-mannered people, AMAZING people, passionate people.

night photography

is the theme i have chosen to focus on in my first unit!

i thought that would be a good choice because of the earlier evenings and fireworks night, and christmas coming up meaning lots of fireworks, sparklers and bonfires!
if you would like to model for me let me know as i will need to experiment with portraits in night lighting conditions.

feeling quite zombified after what was almost 5 hours of photography thisevening.

have just welcomed a nice cup of tea though and my dressing gown.

a massage would be quite nice right now..

had an interesting weekend...rose's on friday night and then on saturday i went into london and met up with pippa which was brilliant!

then once pippa had left, i went to meet betty at euston and we headed on up to a freedom party which miguel's mum was having which involved my first ever tequila experience - an interesting one at that.

sunday involved a 13 hour sleep, god knows how i managed that.

PPF

i got absolutely DRENCHED thismorning, but i enjoyed it weirdly enough.
i spent my morning paying library fines and sorting out bank details and accounts, oh how old of me.
went into college thisafternoon and sat with my babes betty and miguel and had my tarot read which was quite interesting...and a bit different!

PAST PRESENT FUTURE

it was the fashion show on thursday night which beforehand i thought was going to be a HORRIFIC shambles but i think it looked alright...i don't know?
i brought betty, miguel and andrew along with me from college.
betty was taking photographs and andrew and miguel came to watch but were lugged into doing handyman jobs before the show bless them!
rose popped by during the second half.
and of course sophie and serrena were there too!

ended up getting my shoe stuck in a ladder behind stage when stepping in a curtain which it was hidden behind whilst spraying a model's hair...bad move,
i fell right over and my leg has a nice juicy bruise now, yum.
i was slightly merry by this point but hey, free champagne and wine, what can i say!
