9.30 at berkhamsted train station. i was 5 minutes late...sophie was 35! so i went to get my usual americano from the coffee shop but the sweet girl who is always really chatty was not working but another friendly face was there and i was served nicely by edd, thankyou very much.
sophie arrives:

we trek it up to london and head for hyde park. i felt like a complete tourist asking people which direction it was to get to the serpentine!!
we get to the serpentine after a very long walk (i think we kept walking down all the wrong paths to begin with) and i persuade sophie to get into a pedalo...and here are some pictures of our eventful journey!

what am i doing!?

after a lot of pedalling, leg aching, and back aching (my spine KILLS) losing direction and getting stuck on several occasions we hopped off, well i almost fell into the water as the nice man tried to get us out the darn thing.
we headed in search of an ice cream van because sophie was craving a twister but alas there wasn't one, which is pretty silly as it was perhaps one of the hottest days of the year today?
sophie took some pictures of me walking through hyde park whilst she dawdled. yes i am aware i stripped off my tights.

then we got back on the tube after a nice walk in the park.
industrial fan pose:

and we discovered carnaby street by accident...(no ice creams) i'd never been there before and had been looking for it last time i was in london so had a little ganders round there, then we headed back up to oxford street and hit some shops (also no ice creams!).
papped in primark

and a day of good fun!
p.s. sophie did manage to get her twister in the end...3 minutes before our train left euston from whsmiths of all places!?
