I went to see him play at this tiny little venue on Saturday night in Leeds with a few friends.
One of the most magical musical experiences yet.

He is beautiful, he told me I was beautiful, he bought us a drink, and I am still smitten.

If you havn't heard this young man's music already, DO IT NOW!

To make things better I have just won a tambourine on ebay which was under 'Antique tambourine - battered but beautiful' ...WATCH THIS SPACE! I will be singing and playing soon.

Cor, university life is officially on a roll... absolutely knackered after 3 weeks of what has been solid partying! Time to settle down and do some work I think. I have been pretty good so far, doing all my reading, but I am finding it hard to focus when all you can think about is wanting a nap or a g&t!

I now have my camera back - HURRAH! After 3 months of waiting, it is finally "repaired", let's see how long this will last for. Pictures to come soon... Will clean my room up and then show you my lovely new humble abode.

Have met some great people so far, and I am sure I will meet many more. I love it here, however, I am still feeling very lonely even though I am surrounded by people constantly. I'm sure I just need to settle down into a routine.

I have joined the debating society, feminist society, choir society and a few others! Looking forward to some new and exciting things to do!

Leeds is also the city made for ME! Vintage markets/exhibitions every other week, lots and lots and lots of good charity shops, plus the odd few vintage shops. The nightlife is incredible. I have met some people who are into the same sort of things as myself, so we all boycotted the expensive freshers nights and thought we'd explore some of the good clubs and check them out for ourselves. Anyone here from Leeds? So far I have been to Subculture, Cockpit, Hi-Fi, Stylus, The Faversham and a few others.

Anyway, must go nap or do something productive as I am becoming a hermit in my room.

....the return!

Sorry for abandoning you all! A bit of a manic few first weeks!

I am LOVING Leeds! I have my first disposable camera processed, so will scan them and upload them later. However...for now, I will leave you with some lovely "moving in" pictures taken by my parents!

Proper update later...however, I have just been awoken before 7am by a fire drill and am extremely unamused.

CH-CH-CHANGES

After a nice four days of packing, it is quite safe to say, that anything and everything from my past eighteen years is sitting in boxes, bags and suitcases in my front room.
My parents are borrowing their friends "monster truck" to take me to Leeds as I have so much I want to take. Even though this truck is rather large...I have doubts it is going to be able to fit all my treasures!

I am currently taking a break, sitting here with dye on my hair and treating myself to hot chocolate. About to encounter my last ever bath before embarking onto the wonderful life of being a student and sharing a communal bathroom with four others.

Going down to my local pub tonight (a nice cheap Wetherspoons!), to get rather merry on g&t's and have a good old session of "goodbyes".

I am hoping that the 3-4 hour journey tomorrow will not be as horrific as predicted...the M1 is going to be an absolute nightmare as pretty much all the uni's up North are having their moving in day's tomorrow.

I have been a busy bee with uni malarky and reading for my course.

I have been doing LOTS of shopping. I got payed, so treated myself to the Topshop Jamie spray on jeans in black, they arrived today and are lush.
I also have a black fur gilet, a poncho cape coat in tartan/tweed material, a few new vests, tops and a green silk high waisted ice skating skirt! Hopefully I won't run out of clothes too quickly at uni now.

Went to Proud in Camden on Thursday night for a friends 19th and happened to stumble across Carl Barat outside!
